Community Service
The College of Engineering and Information Technology realizes its social responsibility towards the outside community. This is reflected through a number of activities and services the college renders to the local community. These activities include, but are not limited to:
Workshops and Training Sessions aimed at the AAU students as well as the general public:
- A training session on “Networking” conducted by faculty members.
- Cyber Security Culture workshop conducted in cooperation the UAE Telecommunication Regulatory Authority
- A training session on “Using Adobe Flash and Embedding it in Websites”.
- A seminar on “e-Government”
- Voluntary courses to obtain Microsoft Academy and Sisco Certifications – once partnership with relevant bodies is in action
Consultation and Projects:
Through the faculty members’ research activities as well as students’ graduation projects, the college aims at helping small-scale companies as well as government entities. Examples of such projects include:
- Launching a website for a local car rental company.
- Developing software for plate number identification.
