College of Law at Al Ain University obtains the French International Accreditation for the BA in Law

College of Law at Al Ain University obtains the French International Accreditation for the BA in LawThe College of Law organized an honoring ceremony on the occasion of the College international accreditation for the LLB program for five years of Evaluation and Research Council and Higher Education (HCERES),  in the presence of the AAU Chancellor, Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh, AAU President, Prof. Ghaleb El Refae and Prof. Mohamed Badr Aldeen Abu Al Ala, Chairperson for the Accreditation in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Martin Lipo, Scientific Adviser to the Elite French Board for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education, in addition to deans and faculty members in the College of Law and representatives of public and private institutions and strategic partners for the college.

As the ceremony began with the UAE national anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran on the souls of the martyrs who lost their dear and precious lives to the state of UAE.

Dr. Noor Aldeen AtatrehAnd Dr. Atatreh noted that University always strives towards excellence and innovation and the highest standards of quality for the wise leadership of his Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President, Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Education Council. These directives urged innovation, creativity and upgrading of the educational message to strengthen the status of national institutions of higher education both locally and internationally by continuing to support and encourage all other colleges to follow the Colleges of Law and Pharmacy that received international accreditation, as some colleges are currently in the final stages of obtaining international accreditation.

Dr. Atatreh also noted, with reference to the beginning of the University, that it has strived to sought this accreditation through commitment that was from the College of Law and employees from professors, supervisors and students through the stages of the approval process as well as the information required to answer the Board's inquiries and handle the visits of the Board committees for perfecting the University,  emphasizing that the University is represented by its Board of Trustees and management that will continue to be fully committed to achieving the requirements of HCERES to improve the quality of education in the College of Law.

The Chancellor concluded by thanking the University strategic partners of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Abu Dhabi Education Council, Abu Dhabi Judicial Department and the Ministry of the Interior for their valuable efforts, and he also thanked all the staff at the College of Law, the Dean and the students.

For his part, Prof. Abu Al Ala, expressed his appreciation for the University’s achievement for obtaining this accreditation through applying quality standards by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to improve the quality of higher education in the State as he praised the competency of the University which would assess the level of students before graduation.

Prof. Lipo praised the accomplishment achieved by the College of Law for being the first and only college in UAE  that has achieved this accreditation and explained that the Elite French Board for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education estimated the great effort made as a tribute to the high level of the College of Law and high skill acquired by the faculty members with special thanks to Al Ain University represented by senior management to good reception and hospitality.

At the end of the ceremony, the guest recognized the certification for Al Ain University with joy and delight of the students, the university staff and the attendees.
