Cooperation Agreement between Al Ain Universi

Cooperation Agreement between Al Ain University and Sidi Mohamed UniversityAl Ain University of Science and Technology signed a cooperation agreement with the Moroccan Sidi Mohamed ben Abdellah University. The agreement aims at augmenting the exchange of research and information leading to enhancing knowledge and strengthening Arab cultural cooperation.

The agreement came on the sidelines of the forty-fifth General Conference of the Arab Universities Association in Fez, Morocco, in which AAU participated. Professor Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President, signed the agreement on behalf of Al Ain University, while Professor Esserrhini Farissi, President of Sidi Mohamed University, signed on behalf of the Moroccan university.

Prof. El Refae stated that cooperation between educational institutions contributes to enriching scientific and cultural capabilities through mutual initiatives that are of benefit to students and research alike.

He explained that the agreement with Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University falls in line with the efforts the universities exert to activate collaboration. This will reflect positively on both universities, enrich their experience, and add to the valuable ties connecting them.

The agreement tackled issues relating to fostering science, knowledge, and research through mutual visits programs where faculty members deliver lectures, exchange experience, and engage in joint research projects in various fields. In addition, both parties agree to organize joint conferences and seminars as well as publishing papers in accordance with the applicable regulations at each university.

Prof. El Refae added that according to the agreement, AAU and Sidi Mohamed University will exchange information and documents of relevance in addition to supporting collaboration in curriculum design, educational planning, and higher education studies. Moreover, the agreement encourages joint writing projects and translation of books published by either university.
