A pleasant atmosphere at the AAU Iftar Banquet

For the sixth year consecutively, the family of Al Ain University (Abu Dhabi and Al Ain campuses) gathered in the collective Iftar Banquet organized by the university on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, in the presence of Dr. Noor El-Deen Atatreh –AAU Chancellor, Prof. Ghaleb El-Refae –AAU President, Deans, heads of departments and a number of academic and administrative members.
This Iftar comes in order to support the communication, bonds of love and brotherhood between the employees and to give a sense of the spiritual atmosphere of the holy month, in addition to promoting the spirit of oneness.
Dr. Atatreh expressed that this ‘Iftar’ comes to support the spirit of fraternity and collaboration characterizing the holy month of Ramadan and it also reinforces the bondage and communication among the faculty and staff members, he also provided his special thanks for all the attendances, congratulated them on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and wished them further success in their working lives.
Prof. El Refae congratulated all the attendees on the occasion of Ramadan, stressed on the importance of organizing such social events in enhancing communication and familiarity between staffs in a family atmosphere dominated by brothers and family in this holy month.
After having the Iftar and to break the routine of the work and its pressures, the event was overwhelmed with atmosphere of fun and entertainment by offering a range of cultural and entertaining competitions which the employees participated in the spirit of vitality and enthusiasm, where the university is continuously seeking to hold such events to promote cooperation and the one-team spirit through its traditions and customs.
At the end of the gathering, the faculty and staff expressed their appreciation to AAU administration and wished everyone a blessed Ramadan.
