AAU launches the initiative “Defeat Diabetes”

On the occasion of the World Diabetes Day, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University, Abu Dhabi Campus, launched an initiative entitled “Defeat Diabetes” in collaboration with the College of Pharmacy and Imperial College London Diabetes Center, presented by Mrs. Fatimah Sadeq, in the presence of academic and administrative staffs and AAU students.
The initiative contains several workshops briefed on calorie counting methods, checking the sugar of food, and the appropriate health choices for foods based on nutritional and calorie value. Mrs. Fatimah also organized a variety of workshops, group health competitions that included calculating calories in foods, and prizes for the winning group.
At the end of the workshop, the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Hani Al Jarrah honored the guest in recognition of her efforts.
