The AAU President Meets with, the New Faculty Members within the beginning of the Academic Year 2017-2018

Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President, held a meeting with the new faculty members who have joined the university's family at the beginning of the first semester of the new academic year 2017-2018, in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, the HR Manager along with other college deans.
This meeting aims to introduce the news professors with, the AAU’s mission and objectives, as well as, the laws, policies, regulations and the college’s systems, and the university’s strategy for leadership and excellence in scientific research.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. El Refae welcomed the new professors wishing them a productive academic year full with achievement, innovation and advanced scientific research. After that, Prof. El Refae oriented the University’s future strategy’s towards development and quality. He also emphasized on the University's foundations that are compatible with the CAA standards in the Ministry of Higher Education – Higher Education Affairs.
Prof. El Refae stressed on the need of following the highest standards of academic practice, which reflected positively on the outputs of the university and the quality level of education, pointing to the need to pay attention to students in the first place.
The AAU President recommended the new faculty members to focus on the scientific research and to develop the teaching process, which is one of the most important standards of quality assurance.
From the other side, Dr. Amer Qasem, AAU Vice President (Abu Dhabi Campus) met the new academic staffs, welcomed them and stressed on the importance of paying attention to the students and providing them with the information they need. He also advised them to promote scientific research and enhance their culture, which reflects positively on what they render to AAU students.
