The visit of Statistics Center delegation to AAU

Al Ain University –Abu Dhabi Campus- received a delegation from the Statistics Center headed by, HE Butti Ahmed Mohammed bin Butti Al Qubaisi - Director General of Statistics Center, and together with Mrs. Raba’a Baniyas –STI Director, and Mrs. Muna Saeed Al Suwaidi –Acting, Executive Director Statistics Sector, who were received by the AAU Chancellor Dr. Noor El Deen Atatreh, AAU Vice President, Prof. Abdulhafeed Belarabi and Dr. Amer Qasem, Deputy Dean of Business College.
Both parties discussed the cooperation aspects and how to activate the partnership between the two institutions in terms of organizing workshops, exchanging visits, train students and developing the scientific research by providing academic researchers based on real statistics provided by the statistics center.
They also talked about the latest developments in the education field, providing academic programs compatible with the labor market and according to the development indicators and national qualifications standards in line with the Abu Dhabi 2030 vision and the leadership vision.
After the meeting, the delegation had a tour in the university campus and its facilities which serve the educational process.
Dr. Atatreh expressed his pleasure on this visit and said, the university is ready to cooperate with the statistics center to combine the theoretical side with the practical side. He also pointed out that this visit comes in line with the university strategy to develop the education process and to extend communication with the government, private institutions, and local community.
The AAU Vice President said that, Al Ain University can cooperate with the statistics center in the researches of the Applied Psychology and Applied Sociology because of the demographic data in the statistics center which make the research easier, He also noted the possibility of cooperation between the training centers of the two institutions.
For his part, Dr. Qasem stressed on the importance of strengthening the cooperation between the College of Business and the Statistics Center to promote scientific knowledge, effective communication in the education areas, developing the scientific researches and the interaction with the community to serve the common interests of the two parties.
At the end of the meeting, the Statistics Center provided a special version of a book entitled “Abu Dhabi in a half century” and wished Al Ain University further development and success.
