AAU participating in IEEE UAE Annual General Meeting

Al Ain University participated in the “2017- Annual General Meeting of the IEEE UAE Section”, held at “Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights, Dubai”, in the presence of various local universities and societies. Which aims to discuss the latest developments in the engineering field.
The annual meeting was attended by Dr. Nazih Khaddaj Mallat, Dean of the College of Engineering, the IEEE UAE members, Chapter chairs, Women in Engineering and Young Professionals affinity groups, and the members of the Executive Committee (ExCom) of the section.
At the beginning, the IEEE UAE Section chair presented the accomplishments of the section from its foundation and the challenges it has faced. Later, there were many roundtable discussions on; the membership, technical activities, industry relations, and students’ activities. The participants discussed the proposed ideas on how to improve the section’s activities.
Dr. Khaddaj Mallat stressed on the AAU’s continuous effective contribution in organizing and hosting activities of the IEEE in UAE and serving the community. He also confirmed that the AAU is always ready to embrace and support the IEEE UAE Section’s scientific, and social activities considering as an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss ideas with the others.
