A Chess Championship to Enhance Students’ Strategic and Mental Skills

As part of enhancing intellectual activities and developing strategic abilities among students, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University – Abu Dhabi campus, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Chess and Mind Games Club, organized a Chess Championship for students, which saw significant participation from students across various colleges. The championship, which is part of the series of cultural and sports activities that the Deanship is keen on organizing, featured intense competition among the students, showcasing exceptional levels of skill and strategic thinking. Participants demonstrated high planning capabilities during the matches, raising the challenge level among competitors.
The top performers who delivered outstanding performances were honored, with the Deanship expressing appreciation for the students' efforts. At the conclusion of the event, the Deanship of Student Affairs praised the competitive spirit displayed by the participants, emphasizing the importance of such activities in developing critical thinking and strategic planning skills among students. Additionally, the intention to continue organizing similar events that combine enjoyment and benefit was announced, aiming to encourage students to engage in activities that develop their intellectual abilities and instill in them a spirit of constructive competition.
