“Intro to Git and GitHub” Workshop Enhances Version Control and Collaborative Skills

The College of Engineering organized a workshop titled “Intro to Git and GitHub,” presented by Eng. Zaid Hadya, with the aim of familiarizing participants with version control systems and collaborative software development practices.
The workshop offered a hands-on introduction to Git, covering key topics such as repository initialization, committing changes, and efficiently managing version history. Participants were also introduced to fundamental concepts including branching, forking, and merging, which are essential for managing multiple development tasks within a project.
Additionally, the session highlighted the role of GitHub in modern development workflows, showcasing how to contribute to shared repositories, collaborate with team members, and manage projects effectively.
The workshop contributed to enhancing participants’ skills in version control, supporting stronger teamwork, improved project management, and greater readiness for real-world software development environments.
