AAU Explores Academic Cooperation with the Omani Ministry of Higher Education

As part of its efforts to strengthen academic collaboration, a delegation from Al Ain University paid an official visit to the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation in the Sultanate of Oman. The delegation was headed by Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, President of the University.
The delegation was warmly received by H.E. Dr. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrooqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, who welcomed the guests and praised the strong academic ties between higher education institutions in the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of higher education and scientific research, explored opportunities for knowledge exchange between universities in both countries, and addressed mechanisms for developing joint academic programs and promoting student and faculty exchange.
Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh emphasized Al Ain University’s commitment to building strong academic bridges with educational institutions in Oman, noting that such collaboration aligns with the University’s vision of promoting knowledge exchange, research, and innovation.
For his part, Prof. Ghaleb El Refae expressed his appreciation for the visit, highlighting its importance in strengthening educational relations between the two countries. He affirmed that Al Ain University continuously seeks to develop effective regional partnerships that contribute to enhancing the quality of education and learning.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed their aspiration to continue collaboration and joint efforts in ways that advance higher education, research, and innovation in both nations—supporting sustainable development and empowering future-ready generations of qualified leaders.
