AAU Leaders Affirm on the 54th National Day: The UAE is a Global Model of Unity, Development, and Future-Making

Al Ain University celebrated the 54th National Day of the United Arab Emirates at its Al Ain and Abu Dhabi campuses, launching a variety of national and heritage activities that embodied the spirit of the Union and reflected deep sentiments of loyalty and belonging to the nation and its wise leadership. The celebrations featured military band performances, traditional Yola and folk dances, a national march, a heritage fine arts exhibition, as well as falcon, camel, and horse showcases. The event also included henna art, traditional foods, and heritage games that highlighted the richness of Emirati culture and traditions.
On this national occasion, Sheikh Diab bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the AAU Board of Trustees, affirmed that the National Day is a moment to honor the Union’s journey established by the founding fathers and the exceptional vision of the wise leadership that has positioned the UAE as a global model of development, coexistence, and inspiration. He noted that the country’s achievements are the result of the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
For his part, Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh, AAU Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, extended his warmest congratulations to the leadership and people of the UAE. He emphasized that the National Day reflects the spirit of determination and ambition that propelled the nation toward comprehensive progress, noting that Al Ain University continues its mission of preparing national talents capable of contributing to development and innovation.
Meanwhile, Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, President of Al Ain University, highlighted that the National Day is an opportunity to reinforce values of belonging and loyalty, and to renew commitment toward building the future of the nation. He added that the University remains dedicated to its academic and research role in preparing a highly qualified generation that meets the UAE’s aspirations and strengthens its standing among leading nations.
