AAU ranks among the Top 100 globally in the “THE Impact Rankings 2025”

In a new academic achievement added to its distinguished record, Al Ain University has made remarkable global progress by being ranked among the Top 100 universities worldwide in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025. This ranking evaluates universities' impact in achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This milestone marks the university’s ongoing commitment to excellence in the areas of education, quality, sustainability, and equality. Al Ain University earned outstanding scores in several SDGs, most notably:
- 12th globally in Goal 4: Quality Education
- 21st globally in Goal 5: Gender Equality
- 49th globally in Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
This ranking is a testament to the university’s strong commitment to enhancing the quality of education, empowering women, and fostering a sustainable work environment and balanced economic growth, in line with the UAE’s vision of academic leadership and comprehensive development.
The university administration affirmed that this global advancement reflects institutional efforts at all levels, including the development of academic programs, adoption of best practices in education and research, and the establishment of effective partnerships with both local and international communities.
It is worth noting that the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings is one of the most prominent global rankings that evaluates universities’ commitment to achieving the 17 SDGs set by the United Nations. It is based on comprehensive data across several areas, including education, equality, climate action, innovation, and more.
