AAU strengthens its academic presence at the Conference of Arab and Turkish Universities in Tunisia

Al Ain University participated in the Arab-Turkish Universities Conference, held in the Republic of Tunisia, with the participation of a distinguished group of university presidents and representatives from Arab and Turkish universities, along with several officials and experts in higher education and scientific research.
The university was represented by Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, President of Al Ain University.
The conference witnessed a broad academic attendance and discussions focused on developing cooperation between Arab and Turkish universities, strengthening partnerships in scientific research and innovation, and promoting the exchange of faculty members and students. It also included presentations of best practices in the fields of quality assurance and academic accreditation.
During its participation, Al Ain University signed several academic cooperation agreements with a number of participating universities, including the University of Tunis El Manar, with the aim of expanding joint cooperation in academic, research, and training fields, and promoting the exchange of expertise and knowledge among educational institutions.
Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh emphasized that Al Ain University’s participation in this conference aligns with its strategy to enhance its regional and international presence and to build effective partnerships with higher education institutions around the world, contributing to its goals of excellence and leadership.
For his part, Prof. Ghaleb El Refae noted that signing these cooperation agreements represents an important step toward developing academic programs and joint research initiatives, in line with the university’s vision and mission to support innovation, creativity, and enhance the quality of education.
Through its participation in this conference, Al Ain University reaffirms its commitment to advancing higher education in the Arab world, engaging with successful international experiences, and strengthening cooperation with universities and research institutions in support of the Sustainable Development Goals and in line with the UAE’s aspirations for knowledge and academic excellence.
