Al Ain University: A Key Partner in the Innovation for Inclusion Program with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society

In line with its commitment to promoting innovation and community service, Al Ain University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, becoming one of the leading universities in the UAE participating in the implementation of the "Innovation for Inclusion" program. This initiative aims to empower students to develop innovative, accessibility-centered solutions that promote social inclusion—particularly for people of determination and individuals living with multiple sclerosis.
Al Ain University's participation reflects its ongoing efforts to integrate inclusive design principles into its academic curricula, while directing student projects toward impactful, real-world solutions. The program also aligns with the UAE’s “Year of the Community” vision by fostering an educational environment focused on awareness, innovation, and practical applications that serve diverse community needs.
Through this program, Al Ain University students will benefit from hands-on opportunities, including awareness sessions and interactive workshops led by field experts, innovators in inclusive design, and—most importantly—end users living with chronic conditions. These experiences will deepen students’ understanding of the cognitive, physical, and communication challenges people of determination face.
Participants will work on developing prototypes of their ideas, which will be presented to a panel of judges. Outstanding and impactful projects will be recognized and rewarded, with winning student teams gaining access to a specialized entrepreneurship program that provides mentorship, training, and support to transform their concepts into viable, real-world solutions.
