Colleges Challenges: A Platform to Foster Creativity and Teamwork Among Students

As part of its commitment to enhancing academic engagement and developing students’ creative skills, the Deanship of Student Affairs at the Abu Dhabi campus organized the first season of the "Colleges Challenge", with outstanding participation from various university colleges.
The event was a comprehensive knowledge-based competition that combined general education questions with activities designed to stimulate critical and creative thinking. It featured an interactive program that allowed teams to choose the category and value of the questions, adding an element of challenge and excitement, while fostering decision-making skills and a sense of responsibility among participants.
The challenge activities also focused on promoting teamwork and strategic planning, drawing strong engagement from the audience. The College of Engineering secured first place, followed by the College of Education and Humanities and Social Sciences in second place, and the College of Law in third.
In this context, Professor Dr. Amer Qasem, Vice President of the University, praised the importance of such events in developing both academic and practical skills among students. He emphasized the university’s commitment to preparing qualified graduates capable of meeting the demands of the job market. Meanwhile, Dr. Noha Hamadeh, Associate Dean of Student Affairs, stressed the importance of integrating academic achievement with extracurricular activities, noting that such initiatives contribute to shaping students’ personalities, enhancing their leadership and collaboration skills, and serving as a platform for discovering and nurturing student potential toward excellence.
