The Civil Engineering program recently hosted an event that reflects the program's commitment to strengthening relationships between faculty and students. The event was organized by Program Director Dr. Abdullah Sharo, who places special emphasis on fostering open communication and collaboration, bringing faculty and students together for a day filled with fun and interaction.
The event was organized by the ASCE Student Chapter, under the supervision of Eng. Esraa Hijah, the chapter’s academic advisor. It featured a variety of enjoyable activities that encouraged creativity and communication among everyone. One of the highlights was the game "Pictionary," where participants enjoyed showcasing their drawing and guessing skills. However, the standout event was the "Blast from the Past" trivia game, designed by Dr. Omar Najm. This entertaining trivia featured general knowledge questions about famous inventions, cultural landmarks, and beloved cartoons from past decades, allowing everyone to test their knowledge while reminiscing about the good old days.
The event also included a segment to honour outstanding students who had actively participated in various activities. Academic achievers were recognized for their excellence in coursework, while students who had been active in events, competitions, and extracurricular activities were acknowledged for their contributions to the vibrant Civil Engineering community. These recognitions highlighted the diverse talents and interests of the students, inspiring their peers to follow their example.
