As part of the UAE’s Reading Month activities in March, and under the slogan “The UAE Reads,” the Deanship of Student Affairs at the Abu Dhabi campus organized a distinguished cultural initiative aimed at promoting a culture of reading among university students and embedding it as a daily lifestyle.
This initiative comes in alignment with the country’s vision of building a knowledgeable and aware society, as educational institutions strive to launch high-quality programs that contribute to developing students’ intellectual and creative skills and strengthening their connection to knowledge.
The initiative witnessed the launch of an innovative idea titled “Iqra Cube,” through which knowledge cubes were distributed across the university campus, in addition to being activated on social media platforms. These cubes functioned as an integrated library offering a large and diverse collection of books across various fields, allowing students easy access to knowledge at any time.
The initiative also included a range of accompanying activities, most notably group reading sessions, book exchange, as well as motivational cultural competitions and interactive workshops, which contributed to creating a stimulating educational environment that encourages reading and continuous learning.
At the conclusion of the initiative, the Deanship of Student Affairs honored the most distinguished and actively engaged students in reading within the “Iqra Cube” initiative, in appreciation of their efforts and to encourage them to continue developing their knowledge and strengthening their passion for reading.
