Biography

Dr. Muntaha Alawneh is an assistant professor in the College of Engineering at Al Ain University, UAE. She has been there since September 2021. Dr Muntaha has completed her PhD in Information Security from Royal Holloway back on 2012 after that she joined Princess Noura University (PNU), Riyadh as an Assistant Professor on 2013 – 2016. At PNU she have been assigned as the academic program leader for IS program where Dr Muntaha developed an up to date IS curriculum plan and she was in charge of proposing the IS courses specifications according to the international standard ABET and the National Commission for Academic Accreditation & Assessment (NCAAA). Dr Muntaha had been chosen to be one of the first line reviewers for the Sixth Scientific Conference in KSA and a direct arbitrator for Riyadh uuniversities’ entrepreneurship projects 2016. In 2020/2021 Dr Muntaha joined Jordan University for one year as a part-time lecturer. In Sep 2021 Dr Muntaha joined Al Ain University as Assistant Professor in the cyber security program.

 Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (with distinctions) Al Albay University-Jordan

Research Interests

Dr Muntaha is interested in the areas of, insider threat, trusted computing, secure domains, cloud security and management, big data and virtual machins security .

Specifically she is interested is in the area of secure information sharing and the application of trusted domains to provide secure information sharing in wider areas.
