Biography

Sawsan Al-Awad is a Lecturer in the College of Engineering at Al Ain University, United Arab Emirates, where she has been serving in a full-time capacity since 2026. She received her M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2016 and her B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Yarmouk University in 2012. Prior to her current role, she worked as a part-time Lecturer at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan in 2016–2017 and again in 2019–2020, and as a Teaching Assistant at Jordan University of Science and Technology from 2014 to 2016. Her technical expertise includes programming in Python, Visual Basic, C#, and C++, as well as database management using SQL. Her research interests are reflected in her publications, including a recent accepted paper titled “Navigating the Clinical Learning Environment: Nursing Students’ Perspectives on Cultural and Linguistic Diversity in the UAE” (2026), co-authored with Abu Sharour, Alomari, and others, as well as an earlier work, “Parallel Probing Network of Processors with Unknown Parameters for Optimizing Divisible Load Scheduling,” presented at ICIDM 2017, USA. She currently has no certifications, honors, or formal service activities listed.
