AAU Students Visit Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Coordinated by the Deanship of Students Affairs at the Al Ain University and Miss Siham Al Qora, based in Abu Dhabi, a visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which is the most notable landmark in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the third biggest mosque in the world after Masjid Al-Haram in Mecca and the Prophet's Mosque in Al- Madinah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The pupils were kept company by one of the guides who briefed them on the high spots of the mosque, and explained to the smallest details of the finishing touches to the ornamentation of the Greek and Italian white marble. She also clarified that the usage of plants is unique and tailored to the internal décor of the mosque. She even expressed them the written Quranic verses on the inside walls with a beautiful mosaic designer used to encompass the entire mosque, estimated at 17,000 squared meters.
