Cooperation between Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution Office and Al Ain University
HE Yousef Saeed Al Ibri, Abu Dhabi Attorney General, met last week with a delegation of staff from Al Ain University. This included Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh, Chancellor of AAU, Dr. Abdelhafid Belarbi, Vice President of AAU and Dr. Mahmood Abdul Hakem, Deputy Dean of the College of Law in AAU. The group discussed ways of increasing the cooperation between the Public Prosecution Office in Abu Dhabi and AAU in addition to the development of Law students’ training. This improvement in the students’ program would facilitate the gain of practical organizational experience for them to be as technically prepared as possible when entering the work environment.
HE Al Ibri reiterated the Public Prosecution Office’s continued support of youth progress in all branches of law. He also highlighted the role of the Public Prosecution Office in preparing the training courses conducted by the Attorney General’s Office, in tandem with best international practices, to produce national, technically qualified legal professionals. This would be in cooperation with the Academy of Judicial Studies and Specialized Training at the Judicial Department of Abu Dhabi.
At the end of the meeting Dr. Atatreh thanked HE Al Ibri for all the support that the Public Prosecution Office extends to AAU. He particularly praised the effort that had been made in the advancement of education and the adoption of several specialized courses for Law students. These courses will enhance the students’ practical education by both improving the Law program at AAU and developing academic programs in relation to the requirements of the judicial and legal organizations in the UAE.
