AAU Students Visit ARAPCO

Students from the Department of Accounting at Al Ain University visited the Arabian Aluminum Products Company (ARAPCO) in Sharjah. The students were accompanied by Dr. Abdalla Salih, Cost Accounting lecturer at the College of Business Administration.
The field trip comes as part of the College of Business Administration’s plan to link theory to practice. The intricate details of courses such as Cost Accounting suggest that certain type of information is better understood when implemented in the real world. This also goes in line with the principle of learning by doing strongly encouraged by AAU.
The field trip was an extremely valuable experience for the students as it provided them with an opportunity to see how concepts of Cost Accounting come to life. They were introduced to real-life implementation of Process Costing System, Product Design, as well as Sublimation and Lamination among others.
The staff and management at the Arabian Aluminum Products Company were welcoming and cooperative as they guided the students throughout the visit and addressed their queries with attention and in detail.
