Al Ain University Launches Continuing Education Center

Al Ain University Launches Continuing Education CenterAt a ceremony held in Abu Dhabi and attended by AAU Chancellor, Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh, as well as representatives of educational, social, economic, private and public organizations, Al Ain University announced the launch of the Continuing Education Center.

In his address to the audience, Dr. Atatreh stated that the launch of the center is in tandem with the Abu Dhabi 2030 economic vision that springs from the wise vision of His Highness UAE president. This is also an implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, in relation to the development of an efficiently productive and a highly skilled workforce to the end of achieving an economy based on knowledge and that would benefit the entire community. Education plays a key role in this economic vision. Therefore, through establishing specialized educational institutions that are capable of qualifying national cadres, those goals are attained, and we are able to contribute to the prosperity of the UAE on all levels.

He added that the goals of the AAU Continuing Education Center are anchored in examining the job market followed by an analysis of the individual needs of the organizations in order to render the best services. At AAU Continuing Education Center, we have taken upon ourselves to be distinguished in every possible way. The center offers over 400 specialized courses delivered in collaboration with top international organizations and are monitored by the administration to ensure quality and maximize benefit.

On his part, Mr. Khaled Aqel, Manager of the AAU Continuing Education Center, said that the center offers a comprehensive training, educational, and development system based on hands-on training which contributes to an environment of creativity and innovation in addition to catering for the needs of the clients. The center seeks to build long-term strategic partnership with institutions and organizations to meet their needs, employ capabilities, and invest in human resource training as well as serving the local community.

He added that the training courses offered at the AAU Continuing Education Center cost 60% less than other programs while maintaining quality. Moreover, trainees will be able to access the center's website to make use of its repertoire of scientific and training materials. The training outcome of each individual is measured by means of the most recent tools linking them to actual development in work performance. Further, the center offers post-training services of visiting trainees at their workplace to examine the implementation of the training skills and to answer any queries and questions.
