College of Education Participates in Ankabut Users' Meeting

College of Education Participates in Ankabut Users’ MeetingThe College of Education at Al Ain University took part in the two-day meeting entitled “The Way Forward” organized by the United Arab Emirates’ National Research and Education Network (NREN) at the Higher Colleges of Technology Women’s College in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Fawzi Ishteiwa and Dr. Enas Abu Libdeh of the AAU College of Education delivered a presentation entitled “E-learning: Attitudes, Challenges, and Suggestions” in which they discussed in depth their experience in e-learning at AAU.

The presentation was very well received by the audience as it shed light on a real life experience in using e-learning at a higher education institution in the UAE.

Dr. Mark Drummond, Higher Colleges of Technology Provost, opened the meeting in which representatives from the UAE universities and institutes participated.  A number of e-learning professionals also took part in the event. The presentations tackled a variety of subjects of interest to faculty members, information technology professionals as well as researchers and administrators.

It is noteworthy that Ankabut plays an important role in enhancing research and scientific development in the UAE. It also contributes to supporting the concept of highly productive knowledge economy; an important part of the UAE vision 2021.
