Law College Participates in Maktoum Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum Moot Court Competition

The College of Law at Al Ain University concluded its participation in Maktoum Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum Moot Court Competition entitled"Towards Practiced Legal Generation”. Fifteen students from the College of Law took part in the competition held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Chairman of Dubai Judicial Council.
Dr. Tayil Al Sheyab, Deputy Dean of the College of Law, Chair of the College of Law Student Association, stated that the competition aims at creating a distinguished legal generation. It is an opportunity for law students to develop practical aspects of legal knowledge and to practice legal activities of factual nature. It also motivates them to seek a career in the judicial field.
The Competition consisted of two phases. The first required preparing written memos on the basis of case facts and presumptions while the second took the form of oral pleadings between the participating teams in front of a judicial panel from Dubai Courts, he added.
On his part, HE Dr. Ahmed Saeed Bin Hazeem, Director General of Dubai Courts, theChairman of Higher Committee of Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum Moot Court Competition, honored the AAU College of Law in appreciation for their active participation which contributed to the competition’s success.
