Orientation Week at AAU Begins

Orientation Week at AAU BeginsAl Ain University, at both campuses in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, has started the orientation week intended for students joining the university in the First Semester 2012/2013. The students will be introduced to the process of registration and academic guidance. They will receive tips on how to avoid registration mistakes through the help of the guidance plans prepared by AAU for this purpose.

Prof. Ghaleb El-Refae, AAU president, mentioned that the new students’ academic advising includes several important things the students need to be familiar with such as majors and courses in addition to educating the students about their rights responsibilities. This week’s activities also include acquainting the students with the various extracurricular activities organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in collaboration with the colleges’ community engagement committees.

Prof. El-Refae reiterated that AAU is ready to receive the students for the First Semester 2012/2013 as the study plans have been prepared and classrooms and labs have been equipped to cater for the students’ needs and provide them with a comfortable study environment.

It is worth mentioning that AAU currently offers 15 undergraduate programs through its five colleges; The College of Engineering and Information Technology, the College of Pharmacy, the College of Law, the College of Education, and the College of Business Administration.  The university also offers a number of graduate programs; MBA, Master of Law, MA in TESOL as well as the Professional Diploma in Teaching. All AAU’s programs and specializations are accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
