Shaikh Nahyan Patrons AAU Second Graduation Ceremony
HE Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research attended the second graduation ceremony held by Al Ain University at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. HE Humaid Al Qutami, the Minister of Education and HE Dr. Mughair Khamees Al Khaili, the Director General of Abu Dhabi Education Council also attended the ceremony in addition to dignitaries, representatives of public and private institutions, members of the Board of Trustees, and the graduates' families.
HE Shaikh Nahyan addressed the audience reiterating that the graduation ceremony is an occasion to express gratitude to the UAE for the values and principles it represents focusing on the betterment of the individuals and working steadily towards human development. He added, it is well known that the UAE fosters education and ensures the availability of sound planning and effective implementation. This springs from the wise vision of HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, and is based on the directions of HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. They have given special attention to augment the capabilities of every individual in society leading to successful performance and creative competitiveness. The graduation ceremony is a recurring occasion allowing us to extend our deep gratitude for the attention the leaders of the UAE have given to human development and for investing in human capital. This ceremony is also a chance to thank the AAU Board of Trustees and Administration and salute their effort and diligence in underlining the foundations of excellence and quality in all its achievements.
On a different note, HE Shaikh Nahyan addressed the graduates congratulating them, hoping that each and every one of them lives up to the expectations, and to be the best representative of their university in their ideal manners and sound reasoning. He also advised them to be confident of their capabilities, be keen on learning, learn from experience, and to take the initiative to serve the community and the nation. The duration of their study at AAU has been a period of growth and learning. We hope you maintain your relation with this university that provided you with an excellent opportunity to study and learn. You need to maintain good relations with your colleagues as well for they are indispensable.
The ceremony was held in celebration of 250 students of the Second and Third cohorts from the colleges of Engineering and Information Technology, Pharmacy, Law, Education, and Business Administration in addition to MBA and Professional Diploma in Teaching programs.
At the end of the ceremony, the administrative and academic staff at AAU extended their deepest appreciation to HE Shaikh Nahyan for his patronage of the event and for his kind gesture of sharing with the graduates their happiness on this day. AAU also thanked the guests who attended the ceremony. On their part, the graduates and their families expressed their utmost happiness on this joyful occasion.
