AAU Students Visit Masdar

A group of AAU students visited Masdar City and Masdar Institute accompanied by Ms. Seham Kora, Science and Life course instructor. The visit aimed to introduce students to the renewable sources of energy, clean technologies, and methods to achieve sustainable development on the long run.
At the beginning of the visit, Ms. Shaima Al Habsi, External Relations Manager at Masdar, gave a presentation and the students watched a documentary on the establishment and goals of Masdar in addition to the applications of clean technologies and renewable energy.
Following that, the delegation toured the facilities of Masdar to get acquainted with the nature of the research conducted there, the latest technologies used, and the international standards of sustainability.
The AAU students also explored the labs of Masdar institute and were introduced to the future projects in addition to experiencing the eco-friendly transportation. They also attended a short presentation on the design of the buildings and facilities to ensure they are eco-friendly.
