The Deanship of Student Affairs at AAU organized a field trip to the Juvenile Care Centre in Al Mafraq. The students of the Arab Community course supervised by Dr. Eyad Abdul Majeed were received by administrators and officers at the Centre.
A delegation from the Family and Juvenile Prosecution accompanied the students on a tour of the juvenile centre where they explained the services offered to the juveniles with regard to psychological and physical rehabilitation which aim to ensure they return to the community as positive individuals.
The visit left a great impact on the students by pinpointing the negative factors that may lead to the juveniles’ behavior. The students also addressed the preventive measures that can be followed to educate juveniles and direct them toward being integrated in the community and refrain from negative behavior.
