Under the title “Healthy Body: Healthy Mind”, the Deanship of Student Affairs, in collaboration with Al Ain Cromwell Hospital, Al Ain Pharmacy Group, and the Foot Care Center, organized a health event at AAU campus in Al Ain. During the event, the participating centers offered medical consultation and free medical screening for the diagnosis of eye diseases, LASIK evaluation, BMI, muscle mass, osteoporosis, and nicotine level tests as well as providing advice to students, faculty, and staff. Moreover, awareness brochures were distributed, and the specialists ensured all questions and inquiries concerning all health issues were addressed thoroughly.
Dr. Enas Abu Libdeh, Dean of Student Affairs, explained that the event is one of several AAU activities aiming at spreading health awareness among students. Abu Libdeh expressed her gratitude to all participating centers that played a positive role in providing medical advice to the students underlining that this event is a step towards a long-term positive cooperation which would contribute in providing students with a comprehensive healthcare service. This, in turn, will play an active role in raising health awareness among students.
