Al Ain University Welcomes New Students

Dr. Bil Arabi welcomed the young studentsThe Deanship of Students Affairs at Al Ain University in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain held its first meeting with the new students at the start of the new academic year 2014/2015, in the presence of the vice-president, Prof. AbdelHafeeth Bil Arabi, deans, faculty and administrative members.

Dr. Bil Arabi welcomed the young students, stating his pleasure at seeing them in binding up the AAU family. He clarified to them that they will be the focus of attention of the university’s administration and staff members who will assist them to seek secured and the most suitable atmosphere for work.

The vice-president has indicated that the university, which is passing through the maturation phase, has come a long way from the academic programs for the various programs in the five faculties: Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Education, Humanities, and Social Sciences, and Faculty of Business Administration. In addition to the Professional Diploma Program in Teaching, Masters of Business Administration, Master's Program in English Language Teaching and Master programs in the Public and Private law, and for that the university has contracted with an elite group of academic experts in various disciplines, which will reflect positively on academic outcomes sought by the student, providing at the same time the requirements of the labor market from all disciplines and outputs that match the best and the highest output of higher education institutions and the academic worldwide. Simultaneously, the university stresses on the function of academic counselling for new students until the pupil is aware of the plans of study, forewarning of incomplete and cumulative exams because they put pressure on the pupils.

Dr. Enas Abu Libdeh, the Dean of Students Affairs, guaranteed that through the future work plan, the university is attempting to maintain pace with the modern learning outcomes through the use of educational techniques and research documentation, where scientific research is the de facto standard for evaluating universities and their outputs. This requires students to hold visions and the abilities to restrain up with it by resorting to scientific references in school textbooks or other updated, online references.

The Deputy Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Eyad Abdulmajid, also welcomed the new students and explained to them about the university’s keenness on cooperation with the Deanship of Students Affairs with an interest in methodological and extracurricular aspects, so that obtaining excellent academic results could be achieved through several strategies, including attention to the extracurricular activities that hold the educational visions. He also emphasized the importance of transmitting with the Deanship of Students Affairs to acquire advantage of student services and the various natural processes that refine the student's personality by gaining experience and accomplishments. The Deans of Students Affairs in both campuses are fully trained to provide cultural and societal activities, sports and art through the various sections.
