The Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University organized an orientation week for new students joining for the second semester of the academic year 2013/2014 at the AAU campuses in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The students were introduced to the process of registration and academic guidance. They also received tips on how to avoid registration mistakes through the help of the guidance plans.
Prof. Ghaleb El-Refae, AAU president, mentioned that academic advising for the new students includes several important issues which students need to be familiar with such as available majors and courses in addition to educating the students about their rights responsibilities. This week’s activities also include acquainting the students with the various extracurricular activities organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in collaboration with the colleges’ community engagement committees.
Prof. El-Refae reiterated that AAU is ready to receive the students for the Second Semester 2013/2014 as the study plans have been prepared and classrooms and labs have been equipped to cater for the students’ needs and provide them with a comfortable study environment.
