2015 is the Year of Innovation and Creativity at Al Ain University

In line with the vision and strategy of the government of the State of the UAE for the year 2015, the year of innovation and creativity, which were the translation of the vision of his Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may Allah protect him, and was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai, during a cabinet meeting held in the historic castle in the Emirate of Fujairah. The call was to all state institutions to make the year 2015 a year of innovation and creativity, hence the AAU Board of Trustees directed the university’s administration to afford and to stimulate faculty members and students to innovation and creativity.
And in this area, the directives of the AAU Board of Trustees are to translate the university’s vision on innovation and creativity, where the university is a sect of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the source stream of the creators of student academics, as sanctioned by the Council at its last meeting to adopt innovations and students’ development through the formation of a fund to plunk for the pupils and their thoughts.
On the academic level, the Council approved the constitution of a Commission for the Development of Scientific Research that provides all the capabilities to modernize and to take part in international conferences and organizing scientific conferences that will draw in international scientific expertise into the country and exchange experiences with them.
Annotating on the subject, Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh, the AAU Chancellor, said that the university was and is still a tributary of creators in the UAE, where it has for over ten years since its institution, graduated pharmacists, engineers, legal and educational students as well as employees who have their racks in all sectors within the state.
Dr. Atatreh added that over the years the Al Ain University has supported each student and creators by resolving all the obstacles to the growth of innovation and creativity and the latest project was from the College of Engineering and Information Technology in creating a robot to facilitate the blind multitude, which got entitled in international scientific contexts. Moreover, the university will host a conference on business and economy, which will be formed in cooperation with the International Association for Business and Economics in the United States.
