“A Literate Generation; a generation capable of the reading challenges" in Al Ain University

Coordinated by the Deanship of Students Affairs in the Al Ain University, based in Al Ain city, and in cooperation with the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences and Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Association for future generations, a lecture on reading awareness, entitled “A Literate Geberation; a generation capable of the reading challenges”. It was provided by the administrative supervisor in the Association, Mrs. Naima Qasim.

 

Ms. Naima Qasim started to address the challenges of the future generations and the library's success. The idea of the project was triggered by the directives of  Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan and her vision to make reading a daily habit afar from the routine life, so that one makes the book his/her best friend.

 

She presumed with presenting a lecture about civilizations, immortality and saving the heirloom, followed by the ways that make the reader able to taste and enjoy reading. Finally, she summed up the lecture with comparisons between the rich and the chandelier and the ignorant and the knowledgeable, which was attended by an elite group of university professors, educators and university students. Some attendees expressed through their interventions on all programs their desire for closer links of cooperation.
