AAU Participates in the Third Arab-Euro Conference on Higher Education

In the framework of its keenness to participate in the international conferences and to strengthen the prospects of cooperation between other universities, Al Ain University has participated in the Third Arab-Euro Conference on Higher Education, which was hosted by the University of Barcelona in the Barcelona City of Spain, under the slogan “Opportunities and challenges for Arab and European universities in fulfilling their societal mission”, where Dr. Noor El Deen Atatreh –AAU Chancellor and Professor Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President, participated in the conference.
For his part, Dr. Atatreh stressed on the keenness of Al Ain University to participate in such conferences, which would contribute to achieving the promotion of scientific research and innovation policy, as these conferences are tremendous opportunities to discuss educational issues, to view the latest developments in educational and scientific researches, and a good chance for diversity and exchanging cultures between academics from various universities.
On the other hand, Professor El Refae participated in the session entitled “Perspective for higher education in Arab-EU Policy dialogue”, where he has presented a research paper entitled "Risk Management".The session summarized the most important points discussed during the conference, addressed a set of questions to the panel, and focused on the implications for the institutions and also for regional and interregional policy processes and initiatives.
Moreover, Prof. El Refae emphasized on the importance of the participation of Al Ain University in such conferences, which would support the policy of interaction with the community and promote international relations between Al Ain University and other universities.
