Al Ain University signs an MOU with IEEE (UAE Section)

As a part of its efforts to develop its relations between different institutions locally and internationally, Al Ain University signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the IEEE (UAE Section), on behalf of both sides keenness to strength the bonds of cooperation and mutual relations.
The MOU was signed by Dr. Noor El Deen Atatreh –AAU Chancellor- and Dr. Essa Basaeed –IEEE Chair (UAE section) and attended by Dr. Amer Qasem -AAU Vice President (Abu Dhabi Campus), Dr. Nazih Khaddaj Mallat –Dean of the College of Engineering- Dr. Ften Kharbat –Deputy Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Hammad Al Marzouqi and Dr. Fatmah Al Dhaheri.
Both sides agreed on various aspects such as; The contribution of Al Ain University to organize and host the IEEE activities in UAE level, organizing common conferences and seminars, open the space to AAU’s students to participate in IEEE activities and developing student’s abilities through the training programs.
Dr. Atatreh stated that AAU is fully ready to maintain a high collaboration with the IEEE UAE Section in order to achieve the desired benefit of the parties, he added that this MOU comes in line with the university strategy to develop the education process and to extend communication with the government, private institutions, and local community.
For his part, Dr. Khaddaj Mallat stressed on the importance of strengthening the cooperation between the IEEE UAE Section and AAU in order to promote scientific knowledge, serve the community, and help in creating a better tomorrow by applying professional and educational activities with the highest technical standards.
It is worth to mention that Al Ain University is considered as a strategic partner to the IEEE UAE Section in 2016, it also hosted the 11th IEEE UAE Student Day and the 16th Mediterranean Microwave Symposium in its campus at Mohammad Bin Zayed City– Abu Dhabi, which have achieved outstanding success.
