Awareness lecture about “Fire protection” in AAU

In collaboration with the Civil Defense General Directorate, the Deanship of Student Affairs in Al Ain University –Al Ain Campus- organized an awareness lecture entitled “How to Protect Yourself from Fire”, presented by Mr. Jamal Al Bloushi and Mr. Nadir Al Bloushi from the Civil Defense General Directorate. This lecture came on the occasion of the Civil Defense Day.
The lecture included, the basics of disaster response and in emergency situations, what necessary safety equipment that must be at home or at the workplace, how to use them in the emergency situations, such as: the basics of safety from fire, the way to evacuate and how to behave as well as to identify the types of fire extinguishers and how to use them. Finally, the workshop included a demonstration on how to use fire extinguishers in different cases.
The lecture was attended by number of academic and administrative staffs and university’s students, who interacted with the lecture positively.
