Al Ain University got the Highest QS Stars Rating in Teaching and Inclusiveness

  • Posted on:Sep 29, 2019

Al Ain University (AAU) has received the highest ratings (5-stars) in Teaching and Inclusiveness categories, based on the “QS Stars Rating System”, operated by QS (the independent compiler of the QS World University Rankings since 2004).

The system evaluates the universities across a wide range of important performance indicators as set against pre-established international standards. By covering a broader range of criteria than any world ranking exercise, QS Stars shines a light on both the excellence and the diversity of the rated institution. The universities are awarded a rating of one to five stars (highest rating), depending on their performance within the evaluation.

In addition, for being rated 5-stars (highest rating) in Teaching and Inclusiveness categories, AAU got full points in the following indicators: Overall Student Satisfaction, Satisfaction with Teaching, Further Study (Proportion of students pursuing further study within 12 months of graduation), Scholarship and Bursaries, Disabled Access, International Faculty, International Students, IT Infrastructure, and Industrial Research.

Dr. Noor El Deen Atatreh (Chancellor, AAU), said Al Ain University is proud to receive the highest rating in more than one category of the “QS Stars Rating System”, which is a new achievement added to the university. He added that, this achievement was a result of continuous work and efforts to promote the future education.

Prof. Ghaleb Awad El Refae (President, AAU), expressed his happiness by congratulating all the AAU stakeholders as he said “It’s the joint effort of all and I am thankful for the (QS Stars Rating System) in rewarding AAU with the star ratings and enabling us to identify the best on the specific topics such as: teaching, program strength, facilities, graduate employability, social responsibility, inclusiveness, and more”.

Dr. Nazih Khaddaj Mallat (Director, Quality Assurance and Institutional Research Center) stated that the “QS Stars Rating System” has helped our institution in projecting the areas of its strength and the areas of improvements, which will be definitely reflected in the upcoming years.
