College of Engineering attends the IEEE UAE Annual Meeting

Al Ain University represented by the College of Engineering, participated in the annual general meeting of the IEEE UAE Section, held at Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre. The meeting was attended by IEEE UAE members, Chapter Chairs, Women in Engineering and Young Professionals affinity groups, and the members of the Executive Committee of the section and a number of faculty members from various local universities.
The meeting started with a keynote speech by Prof. Samir AlMasri about Digital Transformation. This was followed by a presentation of the annual report by Dr. Fatima Taher, the IEEE UAE section chair. The presentation informed attendees of the section activities emphasizing the importance of international conferences sponsored by the section.
This meeting aims to discuss the latest developments in the engineering field, and Al Ain University is keen to support the IEEE UAE Section’s scientific, and social activities considering as an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss ideas with the others.
