A virtual workshop on the World Banking Day

Coinciding with the International Day of Banks, the College of Business in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs organized a virtual event entitled; The Impact of COVID-19 on the Banking Sector, was presented by; Mr. Basil Jawad Mohammed (Branch Manager - Bank Al Etihad, Jordan), and Mr. Nader Daou (Head of Treasury - Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait, Dubai, UAE).
The event discussed various subjects about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on banks and the banking sector, the challenges faced and the precautions that have been taken to coexist with the pandemic in order to overcome the negative effects of the epidemic and continue its role in supporting the development of the economy in the country.
Also, students of the Banking Day Competition which organized previously presented two-minute videos reflecting the Corona pandemic impact on the banking sector. And, five winning videos were broadcast and awarded at the end of the event.
