Al Ain University Spreads awareness on Childhood Cancer

On the occasion of the International Childhood Cancer Day, the Deanship of Student Affairs in cooperation with the College of Pharmacy and Burjeel Royal Hospital (Al Ain), hosted Dr. Rania Amer- Pediatrician, with a virtual event entitled; ‘A Touch for Hope’.
The workshop discussed several types of cancer in general and childhood cancer in particular, its symptoms and causes, and the importance of early detection for quick treatment and a complete recovery. Emphasizing the importance of psychological and social support as well; that must be provided to the child, which is one of the factors contributing to the quick response to treatment.
This workshop aims to enhance students' awareness of childhood cancer, the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle and encourage them to use innovative modern technologies to contribute to global efforts to combat cancer.
