Engineering Students Secure First Place in the Grand "Capture the Flag" Competition

A team from the College of Engineering at Al Ain University – Abu Dhabi Campus secured first place in the Grand "Capture the Flag" competition, held at Middlesex University Dubai in collaboration with HackTheBox.
The competition challenged participants with real-world cybersecurity scenarios, including web exploitation, cryptography, reverse engineering, and digital forensics.
The Al Ain University team, consisting of Kenan Hassan, Omar Khalayleh, Hamzah Salem, and Mo'ath Awheeb, under the supervision of Eng. Rima Masri, outperformed teams from various universities across the UAE to secure first place.
The event provided students with a valuable opportunity to test their hacking skills, gain hands-on experience, network with industry professionals, and compete for exciting prizes. Participants also received a certificate of participation, enhancing their resumes and career prospects in the cybersecurity field.
