Breast Cancer Events at AAU

On the function of the World Day for breast cancer and wellness awareness among the entire university, the Dean of Students Affairs at both campuses cooperated with the Department of Medical Services of ADNOC and Tawam Hospital in organizing health awareness events which let in various actions aimed at increasing awareness of breast malignant neoplastic disease. A lecture was conducted on highlighting the importance of self-examination, which leads to the early detection of the disease in addition to the distribution of manuals for effectiveness. Likewise, a Mammogram car was at the university for the convenience in testing the adult females.
The lecturers confirmed on the importance of self testing and screening as early screening is a method actor for treatment success and to keep off the complications of breast disease, where studies indicate that the incidence of full recovery is up to 100 percent if the disease has been found in early levels.
Besides emphasizing the importance of advancing community awareness and how dangerous this disease is, which has become a worldwide phenomenon, there has been an involvement of the collaboration of all attempts in addressing its complications and prevention. This lecture was a distinct presence of community women in addition to the students and staff at the university and who in return praised for the quality of the lectures concerning women and the family in general.
