Lecture on "Copyrighting” at AAU

The Deanship of Students Affairs at Al Ain University, based in Abu Dhabi, organized a workshop on “Copyright and Neighboring Rights” in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, and which was presented by Ms. Mouza Saeed Al Ghaferi, a legal researcher in the Copyright Department of the Ministry of Economy. The attendees were members of the academic and administrative bodies and a routine of university scholars.
Ms. Mouza Saeed Al Ghaferi's referred to the importance of this lecture in defining to the students the functions of copyrighting and the exploits of the Ministry of Economy in cultural awareness and the protection of copyright in the context of the execution of the Ministry's plans to beef up cooperation with cultural, social and economic community events. She also explained the concept of intellectual property rights which enables the possessor of the right to benefit in several ways from the study, which was merely an idea then evolved to become a manufacturer.
During the talk, there were questions from some students addressing a number of topics concerning the role of the Ministry in the area of protection of copyright, intellectual property and the update of the legislation to keep up with the latest evolutions in this field, in accession to the Ministry's relationship with local and federal agencies.
