Three Undergraduate Programs for the College of Education at the University Al Ain in Abu Dhabi

The Al Ain University in Abu Dhabi announced that the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences has endorsed three BA programs. New enrollees can register starting from the second semester of the academic year 2014/2015.
The AAU President, Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, declared the three programs, which are the Teacher Preparation program in Arabic Language and Islamic Education, Applied Psychology and Applied Sociology. He pointed out that this is consistent with the university's vision and strategy that works to be a leader in educating teachers and educational leaders committed to developing themselves continuously in response to professional developments. In summation, the College of Education provides distinguished educational services by emphasizing on active learning, research and technology, using clinical experience and collaboration with individuals and sectors concerned with education, whether at the local, regional or international level.
Prof. Ghaleb El Refae said the goal of the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences is to furnish pupils with the basic concepts and knowledge necessary for the teaching profession within a framework of quality to enable successful decision-making in making life. The teacher educators from the highly skilled use teaching strategies and assessment as well as employing educational technology actively to secure the continuous intellectual, societal development for learners, along with their professional development skills for life to ensure their performance as teachers and educators to help them make the necessary professional values that affect positive impact on learners.
The President also declared that in the near future the university will be opening of the specialty of great importance in the Faculty of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, which is the Bachelor of Special Education in Abu Dhabi, and this program is currently set up in Al Ain. The course of study is specifically structured in order to deal with particular demands, which is the first of its kind, owing to the community's need, where special-needs are becoming really common in the UAE. Nevertheless, it is in need for specialists in this sphere, to invest and deal with associates in accordance with the best international standards and practices, as founded on practical preparation and subject surveys to provide an indicative program for pupils of the grandness of these programs to the community.
