A workshop titled "Short Story Creative Writing" at Al Ain University

The Deanship of Students Affairs at Al Ain University, based in Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with the Federation of the UAE writers, organized a workshop for a group of university students entitled "Short Story Creative Writing" at the Union headquarters in Abu Dhabi, Al Nahyan branch. The creative writing workshop was conducted by the writer Mei Suhail Kotosh who spoke on some topics related to the profession of writing, including writing a short story, in addition to a variety of written exercises.
Mrs Mei gave discussion sessions on the first three chapters: the first, entitled: «start»: Who? Where? When? The second is the «body»: What happened? And how? And the conclusion: How's the event? She also gave several short stories models, such as stories from the world literature and Arab works of writers like Chekhov from (Russia), Anna Maria Choi from (Argentina) and Augusto Monterosso from (Guatemala). As she also focused on the importance of restoring the person's childhood from what has been mentally stored, whether the nature of a place or an inspirational moment, in addition to fairy tales and things that pass by the person. Some forms of one word and what could be slowly built through one’s imagination, noting that writing depends on the imagination, and can begin from an expressive one, then build a homogenous story or tale as long as there is a valid plot and the integration is creative.
