AAU’s visit to Al Samaliya

The Deanship of Students Affairs at Al Ain University, in cooperation with the Emirates Heritage Club, organized a visit to Al Samaliya for the university faculty, staff members and students. It was a blended visit of entertainment and learning important information on equestrian and horse riding and then apply what they have learned on the ground.
Participants also completed their trip by exploring the most important elements of their nomadic and mountain environment in terms of lifestyle and houses inhabited by Bedouins. Later, they learned about the environmental and research functions of the unit, including preparation and implementation of plans and programs for research, environmental studies and experiments on Al Samaliya and other facilities, supervising environmental projects on the island, follow-up and supervision of the training of graduate students and developmental plans for environmental lectures.
At the end of the visit, the participants expressed their accession from the received hospitality. The Deputy Dean of Student Affairs gave out appreciation certificates for the supervisors, thanking them for their fruitful cooperation.
