Al Ain University Delegation visits the Omani Ministry of Higher Education

Under plans to enhance communication with higher education organizations in the GCC to keep pace with modern developments, followed by higher education institutions in the GCC countries, H.E. Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammad Al Sarmi, General Solicitor of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Sultanate of Oman, has met with Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh, the AAU Chancellor and the delegation.

This came during a visit by Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Sultanate of Oman in order to consolidate the relationship between the University and the Ministry, with a look at the latest updates and the laws that are operated by the Ministry of Higher Education in the Sultanate.

Dr. Atatreh gave a preview about Al Ain University and on the developments in the University during the 10 years of its founding based on the quality of the University and education. He said that the transformation and evolution are results of the support of the higher education institutions in the UAE, the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and the Abu Dhabi Education Council, whose target is to improve the educational outcomes and provide the market with scientific personnel capable of production and development for the benefit of the country and the people.

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al Sarmi, welcomed Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh and the delegation by expressing his pride in the strong relationship that combines the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman, particularly the relationship between the University and the Ministry, as a tribute to the great support offered by the University to the Omani students and services that will raise the level of the students’ outputs.

 Hence, at the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged souvenirs.

Consequently, the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences at Al Ain University raises vocational diploma in teaching in seven different disciplines: Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Information Technology. The University has successfully graduated many Omani students who are currently working in the Omani labor market and various institutions.
