Al Ain University honors the most outstanding faculty members

To encourage scientific research and translation in the vision of the AAU Board of Trustees of Al Ain University, the university has honored the outstanding researchers from the faculty members at the university, where this honor comes to encourage faculty members to advance the scientific researches in all colleges. The ceremony was organized by the presidency office with the CommissionAcademy in the presence of Dr Noor Aldeen Atatreh, AAU Chancellor, and Prof. Ghaleb El-Refae, AAU President.
The AAU Chancellor stressed that the university strives to develop and promote scientific researches, and this is evident through the development of the Deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies more than a year ago to advance work in the field of scientific research. He also mentioned that in addition to the faculty’s researches, their teaching performances and interaction with the community would be an impeccable complement.
Dr Atatreh stated that the university witnessed unremitting excellence in the scientific research in recent years as a result of continuous work in the development of this area, and with the grace of God we were able to overcome obstacles and provide all the essential facilities. The Engineering and the Pharmacy colleges can produce researches at universal standards as with the College of Pharmacy that attained the support of the foundation for research, in addition to other colleges such as Business Administration, Law, and Education with contributions of research both in publishing in scientific journals or by organizing conferences, and that the university is committed to providing the necessary infrastructure of laboratories and libraries with various sources.
He finalized his speech emphasizing that scientific research is an essential requirement in the university and its evolution that should be matched up to excellence and development since it is a portal to a world of progress, excellence and innovation. It is one of the most important ways to evolve and to reach the ranks of developed universities, where research cannot be separated from the concept of sustainable development.
As for his part, Prof. El Refae, President of the University, noted that what distinguishes a faculty member from the rest of the education workers is the scientific research, and in this case, Al Ain University gives great importance to scientific research and encourages faculty members to engage in research activities of various kinds. To this end, the university sponsors scientific research with the harness of all sources to ensure the continuity of research activities in the university and its development.
The President of the university claimed that it is insufficient to focus on the development of the colleges, the increasing numbers of students and faculty members, the university buildings and published scientific researches, but also to focus on the quality of the journals, which grants the university the privilege to boast a number of published papers that have been published in first class and reputable international academic journals.
